I wouldn't promise anyone anything before Christmas. Until you know what and when you're getting any backdated amount you can't commit to spending it. Hopefully you will hear something soon. I'm surprised you've not had a letter regarding the tribunal yet. I had mine within a week a few years ago but then COVID wasnt delaying things then.

It can take up to 8 weeks, sometimes longer to receive backdated money and about the same time to put an award into payment after a Tribunal win. If you don't receive it by Friday then it will obviously be after Christmas.

You should have received the decision letter from HMCTS, which will have also been sent to DWP. When payment is made you will also receive a letter from DWP. Payment usually arrives in the bank before the letter.
