parking ticket for leaving site ukpc ltd

I went to retail park yesterday in leeds, It had a 3 hour parking limit. I parked and went to meet a friend, then returned to site. this absence was for 30 mins ish. I then wandered around the retail park and visited several shops, in the last shop made a small purchase and have a reciept. on returning to my car I had a yellow ticket stuck under my windscreen wiper. I was a  bit shocked and looked at the sign again and couldn't see anything, there are some upright notices infront of the car parking areas. I then noticed that there were signs on the walls around the site. I drove back in took a photo and saw that it said that you leave this site whilst this vehicle remains in the car park you will be liable to receive a parking charge.
I obvioulsy did not see this, and I was in a loan car as my car was in the garage.
I have sent an appeal to the company expalining I had not seen the signage, that I had left to meet someone, and then returned. I spent around 2 hours on site.
I am so cross that I did this and did not see that leaving was such a problem.
I have breached the rules, should I just pay?
sorry I have been through the newbie stuff and I am still unsure. The fine is £100, £60 for payment in 14 days. Merry christmas!

Foolish to admit that you were driving , foolish to contact them without coming here first

It was an easy appeal if you had followed the newbies thread appealing as a hirer , not admitting who was driving

Complain to the retail park management or landowner asking for a cancellation

oh no I thought I had done  the right thing by appealing in first. although I never said I was driving!! just I had arrived and left site, but did imply I was.

My point exactly , they issued a notice to driver on the windscreen hoping you would do exactly what you did and imply that you were the Driver , foolish to have fallen into the trap

You had an easy win with our guidance , the proverb is , look before you leap !!

Plan A is now your best option

AFAIAA, there has been no recent  successful claims for  leaving site by a PPC

IMO, this is an unfair term in a consumer contract contrary to the Consumer Rights Act..  It could also possibly  be a breach of the Human Rights Act.  Let them take you to court if they are daft enough.  Surely the identity of the driver is immaterial.

Have you complained to your MP?

    That's my recollection too.
That is because it is extremely difficult for the PPC to prove a driver has left the site.

In this case though, the driver has admitted to the PPC that they left the site.

You've made it obvious you were the driver, handed over your name and address and also admitted to leaving the site - everything that could have been done wrong was done wrong with that appeal.  Sigh.

This isn't a site in Sussex is it?
some people are glutton for punishment, and hand their own !!!!!! on a plate to the parking firm

UKPC still at the "driver left site" rubbish ?
We have never seen them try this in court because there is too much to prove, clear advice on do's and don'ts whilst on the site.
They act as a predator, very dodgy for the ladies.

We know all about pictures taken by the UKPC goons, they got caught faking timestamps a while back.   Do the sighs say anything about "driver leaving site" ?
