Possible technicality

Hello everyone,
Started a new job recently (field based) and was visiting the univerity of york for part of the work.I knew I didnt have a pass yet for the site and so had to find parking elsewhere.I parked up in a small retail estate which had a greggs, nisa and a few other shops.I used the greggs for both breakfast and lunch.Today I recieved a PCN from Minster baywatch for overstaying a 2 hour maximum parking time.Call it new job nerves but i didnt notice any signs when iw as there (i have since sen there are a few small ones, only one which i would have been able to spot but they were above head height and i guess i was just fixed on getting so caffeine and starting the job). When i recieved the PCN tho it is for a "heslington retail park" which does not exist according to google. The carpark in question is actually called "Kimberlow hill retail park".I only realised where it was after searching via the postcode.Accompanying the letter are two stills from an ANPR camera which i believe is on a public road.
Any idea where I would stand with pursuing this due to the cameras or incorrect name? Or is it a case of pay up for me not noticing the small sign and take it as a lesson of the job
Thanks in advanced

Please red the Newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum
Is the NTK PCN compliant with POFA ? Or not ?
Try plan A too , that is your first and best option1 -
"(a)specify the vehicle, the relevant land on which it was parked and the period of parking to which the notice relates;"
The location stated on the NTK doesnt exist as i can find no mention of it on google
Would this be enough to get me off the hook?0 -
It's sufficient fir popla, but so far you've three or four times told the entire world who drove. If they know the drivers identity pofa is useless to you3
-
Personally I would not trust Google as evidence of a name etc , we made that mistake recently in cornwall with a recently changed coach park in at Ives or similar
Now if the land registry entry said a different name I like be more inclined to believe it
But if newbies are going to blab about who was driving on a well known parking forum then POFA is of no use , it doesn't protect a driver as Nosferatu pointed out above1 -
PPCs don't care. They just want money, so no such thing as technicalities.
Get thee to the Newbies Sticky, which explains all and should be read before posting.2 -
You do need to edit your posts and not make the mistake of appealing as driver. This is what the template appeal in the NEWBIES thread is for, if PLAN A (also explained in the announcement thread-) doesn't work, first.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD1 -
