Please?Yes, avoid it like the plague, essentially its a pyramid scheme, were most folk lose money.May i make the suggestion your wife gets out while she is relativly unscathed.A 30 second search of Google reveals -Do MLM Really Work? The short answer is yes, but in reality, only a tiny percentage of representatives actually realize the high earnings advertised in MLM promotional materials and at meetings. Some people don't make any money at all, and some people actually lose money.

Absolutely no help, whatsoever. Thanks.
1: the people suggesting that she might be hiding facts from me, she isn’t. She reaches this level every month no problem. And I’m on good money so can afford the payment if something did happen.2: we already have a motability car, which isn’t relevant. She wants to take advantage of the scheme with work, so she can own a car, without paying for it herself.3: it’s NOT a pyramid scheme. That was my attitude originally but as I’ve researched thoroughly, I’m aware now I was wrong. However, I’m not going to sit and explain it here as that wasn’t the point the office the post.
4: the entire point was, I was looking for advice as to how my wife could take finance, without requiring a licence, I take it NOBODY has an answer to that? 🙄0 -

You do realise the money for the car is 'from her earnings at the level' It is not free... The very fact she has to pay if she doesnt hit the level shows it is not free, its just funnelling money a different way, with kickbacks for the 'big company'
If she wants advice on how to do it Im sure her upline (the person who recruited her into the pyramid scheme...) will know all about the schemes she can get involved in.2 -
Malthusian said:You need to be very wary. Typically over 99% of people in MLMs lose money. Maybe your wife is in the <1% (we'll not dwell on the ethics if she is). However, from the outside, it is more likely that her success is illusory. She may be in debt, and as she is your wife, ultimately that would mean you would be in debt too. It's not impossible that someone with health problems could be in the <1% of successful MLM participants. It does however reduce the probability. If you do probe deeper into her MLM activity you need to be tactful; MLMs use cult tactics and attacking the MLM will make her feel that you are attacking her.Just because someone’s legs don’t work, does not mean they’re stupid.0

in a pyramid scheme, you cannot go higher than the person who recruited you. She can and people who she’s recruited have gone above her, multiple times.
im not going to go on about it, as I said I was looking for advice on how she can get finance, simple. Nothing else.Don’t need advising on ethics, rules, definitions etc. Some people make it, some don’t. As it stands, we have more than the average coming into our house (most of it is mine but that’s also irrelevant) and we aren’t worried about how much she can or can’t make, just how to get a car in her name.0 -
You are not going to convince anyone where that this isn’t a pyramid scheme. Please do some research which isn’t provided by the company that your wife works for. If it’s working for her then it means she is actively causing poverty and hardship for other women who it’s not working for. These schemes cannot make money without hurting the other people below them, aka a pyramid scheme.Ask if there is a financial option instead for your wife who cannot drive, and if there isn’t, ask who the car is actually for, your wife, or the company... why would a company offer a car to someone who cannot drive, but offer them no other perk for reaching ‘the level’ the simple answer is they don’t care.3

Pyramid schemes are any where there is 1 person who sells to 2 people, who each need to sell to 2 people, who each need.... You run out of people to buy goods at the bottom. Nothing to do with selling to those below at higher prices. Nothing to do with going higher
Stop burying your head in the sand, loads of people get suckered in by these and think "no, I am smart, I couldn't get fooled"
Even if your wife is doing extremely well, simply taking part in these schemes is immoral as the 99% who lose out are victims while a few cream off the top. What happens when her victims sorry customers can't buy and you have to start paying for the car? Funny incentive that they offer a car but YOU have to take on the finance, YOU have to make the payments and they pay you. Weird that isn't it? Weird how companies who do this legitimately lease the car and the person is taxed on it or gets a mileage allowance. Almost as if it's a scam to ensure they aren't liable...4 -
How the hell os she causing poverty? She doesn’t sell to people In the company! They all buy, at the same price from the company and sell to customers. They have no outlays. It’s not possible to make someone poor if you take nothing from them. Telling me to do research, outside of the company? I’m well aware of how pyramids work. You need to research individual companies, rather than generalising.0

I'm not sure why you are attacking people who are going out of their way to pass on advice, some of it based on previous experiences. I think what you are looking for is that 1 person out of 100 who will say it is a great idea and that will then bring you closure. I wish you well but don't call people on here idiots.I'll see you back on here in a few months time I guess.Savings as of April 2023 Savings account - £26460.50(14474.88)Current account - £2140.24(4576.79)Total - £28600.74(19051.67) £1010 (£65pm CS/BS) £250 CS/BS/JS1
