How long do premium bonds bought with debit card take to "clear"

I have never "deposited funds", I have always bought premium bonds in exactly the same way as purchasing any other product with a debit card on line.  I don't really care how long it takes the funds to clear and be available to withdraw but the money is allocated to bonds instantly and the numbers are shown in the account straight away.

I've done trial payments buying PBs. Doing a 'transfer from' my current account seemed to create the longest delay, to the point that I was quite worried where the money had gone for a couple of days! (Thats why its always sensible to do a small payment first, so you dont get grey hairs waiting) I've also tried 'buying them' via the NS&I website with my debit card. have to say I much prefer the latter.
Although not 'available' for a few days in the balance (ie you can't withdraw it), they do show immediately on the NS&I system, and can start counting their 'calendar qualifying month' straight away, as long as you get it transferred before the end of the month. 
I've just done my monthly 'what did I have left surplus just before our December wages went in' monthly sweep and bought a few more PBs with my debit card tonight as it happens, and its already showing online as being eligible for February's draw
