The fact you cannot travel on your holiday is not relevant.0 -
Did she give you anything in writing (email is okay, links to websites sent by email are not) about a right to cancel under the consumer contracts (information, cancellation and additional charges) regulations 2013?2020_Scotland said:
I booked online on the 27 November then confirmed with a phone call and then paid the deposit.unholyangel said:How did you enter the contract? Over the phone? Online? In person? And when? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
I’m in a similar situation with my dog - kennels still open but I’m no longer going away.
The main difference being no written contract because I’ve been using the kennels for 20 odd years and we just phone/message now.
I’m prepared to pay the full amount if I need to given that I only cancelled today and he’s due in on Thursday. I’m hoping when I get there we can negotiate a lower price but as they’ve managed to squeeze assorted dogs in at very short notice over the years, I do feel it’s worth paying to keep the relationship. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
No I didn't receive anything about consumer contracts regulations, just a link to their cancellation policy and terms & conditions?unholyangel said:

Then you may want to have a read of those regulations. Because you should have been given information in a durable medium about your right to cancel and if you weren't, the right to cancel is extended beyond the normal 14 day cancellation period.2020_Scotland said:
