Wednesday2000 that sounds like a lovely low key no stress time planned.
I have a small confession to make when I was with my husband.  If we were not going anywhere for christmas day.  We use to stay in PJ's all day and I would cook lunch.  And we would just lazy around all day.  Bliss

I have a fridge and freezer full of goodies that will now not get eaten because there will only be me. I’m going to spoil myself. And the bright side is that I have so much in that I won’t need to do any sort of shopping for at least a month and will have a super frugal New Year.

There's usually just the 2 of us (plus fur babe) so Christmas day won't be any different this year.  Will miss friends and neighbours popping in on Christmas Eve, though.

I read an article online earlier about Nigella Lawson.  She always cooks a traditional turkey dinner Christmas day - as this year is different she has decided to do roast pork dinner.  She said that she doesn't want to be reminded about who is missing from her dinner table, but more about enjoying a special day in a different way - I thought that was a great idea.

Well it,s almost 9 spam now and the day is now nearly over.  Amazing how quickly a few hours can actually pass! .  I wasn,t on my own.  There were two of us but for several years age, distance and other issues have prevented us from meeting up with family.  It,s just settling for the simple things, I think, which give you pleasure and remembering that technology is here to be our friend in catching up with family and friends we can,t be with in person.   I hope that anybody on their own today had managed to find some ways of treating themselves and looking after their mental well being.
