NUMBER 17 Checking in. Today I have paid off what was left of my debts I am DEBT FREE. It was a combination of just bit by bit and moving to zero percent and getting a job. Thank you muppets and everyone on here I may not have posted but I checked in every day. I want to now build up a savings fund so I don't get into debt again. I am feeling sort of excited and sort of terrified it seems such a big responsibility not to go there again. I have been in debt and had cards and loans for nearly 30 years. I paid them all off in 2017 and I was determined not to get in debt again but then it made sense to transfer the last bit of my mortgage to a loan as it was cheaper, the loan company offered me a card and within 4 years I was 5k in debt again. So a big thank you but yes scared. Muppets I will send you a target for my emergency fund please if I can keep the same number.Total debt £18,000 at the start of DFW Journey. 2018 14TH JULY 2021 DEBT FREE / 2026 struggling
