Fence panel height

Hi there. Could someone advise me what the legal height for wooden fence panels between neighbours in a back garden please (without having to obtain planning permission). Thanks in advance.

No easy/simple answer.Its usually 6ft but there may be covenants or other factors affecting it.Plus theres always the possibility of growing a higher hedge than that.0

No higher than 2m including gravel boards etc. Common sense when they blow over frequently, although none of mine do!Yes, there may be covenants, but it's important to know who may have the benefit of them; it might just be the original builder.0

As above, however if there is already a fence higher than 2m it can be replaced to the same height but no higher.0

We did the 2m and added trellis on top without problems.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0
