Credit rating using loan to boost

Options
Hi Would paying for my house insurance by monthly instalments help boost my poor credit rating or would just paying out right be better?
The extra for instalments is £15 interest
Thanks

  • Taking a loan tells lenders you have insufficient funds.

Incurring a cost of £15 to boost a score that only you can see is not very MSE.
Sometimes, having a credit file that is "too thin" can be bad, but is that truly the reason you feel you have a poor credit rating, or is there some other reason?

I have an life changing accident and now unable to work.
I couldn't pay my mortgage and credit card  but all my debts have now been paid off for about 6 months

Sorry to hear about your accident, though it sounds like you are now getting a new future sorted.
I am no expert, but I'd be with @Deleted_User that paying the insurance monthly indicates strained finances. I would expect that the best way to restore your credit rating is a period of stability and demonstrate financial resilience.
