Combined postage

I haven’t done this in a long time. Buyer has messaged to ask how he buys two items and can I give combined postage.
Does he just add both to basket then buy but not pay? Then I send invoice with combined postage?
Can I put the same tracking number in for both items to cover an INR?

Have you got immediate payment required on the items? If so it becomes problematic and is best to remove that option, get buyer to buy but not pay then request an invoice. If there is no immediate payment required then just do as above anyway.
If buyer pays in one payment then it shows as a combined sale and the one tracking number covers both - although even if you do get 2 different purchases from a buyer you can use the same tracking number as long as you do it within a short time frame of posting.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Is there a way to check if I have immediate payment set up?0

I think there's a tick box close to the BIN price section where you can choose immediate payment required, so just untick that if it's ticked. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
The other way is that the buyer pays as normal and you then go to your paypal account and refund the small amount difference for the combined postage.0

No don’t do it that way, sellers don’t get any of the PayPal or eBay fees back so it’s an expensive way of doing it. I used to refund a small part automatically if someone paid for 2 lots of postage and it went in one package, but I no longer do that.jsmith9 said:The other way is that the buyer pays as normal and you then go to your paypal account and refund the small amount difference for the combined postage.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yes but to be fair the fees on the small combined difference are not that big, but yes if you want the fees back then I agree with you

If someone contacts me before buying I sometimes add the items together to one listing and send them the item number to buy. If I've listed them on the £1 listing fee this can save a bit.
For some people this has been easier than explaining how to add it to their basketLove living in a village in the country side0 -
I couldn’t anyway, I’ve been switched to managed payments. The buyer took a fuff anyway when I didn’t respond straight back as I wanted to check what I needed to do first.jsmith9 said:The other way is that the buyer pays as normal and you then go to your paypal account and refund the small amount difference for the combined postage.0 -
Ah yes I forgot managed payments, I have no idea how it works with managed payments as I no longer offer refunds once items are paid for anyway.MarkN88 said:
