I posted a parcel via Hermes and it says claims code issued and held due to damage on tracking I googled this and it’s common with Hermes. The seller demanded there money back so I refunded them. It was actually Parcel compare I booked it via so the Hermes are telling me to go to them how to I claim and if this item still arrives what next?

Sorry I mean I sold the item and the buyer demanded the money back

You claim via the reseller, in your case Parcel Compare.

If it arrives it isn't lost therefore you can't claim.

Parcelcompare don't offer insurance as standard on Hermes parcels so did you make arrangements for insuring at all as an add on?

Hopefully you also checked this part as well about prohibited items as couriers , especially via third party re sellers, seem to exclude all sorts of things

• If your parcel is not packaged in accordance with our packaging criteria it will invalidate any claim

You cannot purchase cover for any item detailed on our prohibited items, but it is possible to purchase cover for items on our excluded items list, so long as you send us images of the packaging to approve prior to booking.
