Am I the only one who doesnt understand the new rules ?
I understand that the 3 households can only meet on Christmas Day now but what about Christmas Eve and Boxing Day ?
We are in Tier 2. Can my daughter who is in our support bubble still visit us on Boxing Day or is he saying outside of Christmas Day nobody can meet each other.
Thanks

Only meet on Christmas day. The other day you stay at your own home.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Support bubble is separate.0

Support bubble counts as one household, therefore your daughter can visit.1

Thanks for that.0

Assuming your daughter is not seeing anybody else on Christmas Day. All those in a support bubble cannot mix with anyone outside of their support bubble.0

Forget the rules.
The only sensible reason for household mixing is emotional and mental stability.
Better times are coming, we all need to have patience.

Agreed. In the ultimate analysis it becomes a risk assessment of/for each individual's situation etc.poppy12345 said:

I don’t think that is correct. A support bubble counts as a household when forming a Christmas bubble so three Support bubbles could meet on Christmas Day - not that it would necessarily be sensible to do so. Beyond Christmas Day normal rules resume.sheramber said:Assuming your daughter is not seeing anybody else on Christmas Day. Obviously tier 4 is different.

Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
Outside of Tier 4, the two households in a support bubble can choose to join separate Christmas bubbles, but should avoid contact with each other both before and after Christmas Day.
