Energy switch issues

Options
Hi, I am in the process of switching my gas supplier from SSE to So Energy. The switch is supposed to take place on 22nd December. I have been emailed by So Energy asking for an initial meter reading and have been directed to supply the reading via my online account. I don't have an online account! What's more, there is nowhere at all on their website for me to set one up. If I put my email address in and click on "forgotten password" it doesn't recognize my email address.

I've emailed the company but got an auto reply saying that they are very busy and it can take up to 10 days to respond.

If I can't supply the initial reading before 22nd will the switch be cancelled?

So far my experience with So Energy is not great!

Sorry, I don't understand your reply. What do you mean by "you have"?

You'll be fine, the switch will not be cancelled without the readings.
Don't confuse matters by giving them to your old supplier though, they have to use the readings that come to them after your new supplier gives them to the 3rd party that sits between them approving the readings.
If your new account doesn't show up via email before then just contact their support team...

Thanks for the response. As I said in my original post I have contacted them but they say it will take 10 days to respond.

I've taken a photo of my meter so, as long as the switch goes ahead, I will be able to get the correct reading to them eventually!

I won't confuse anything by sending any readings to SSE.

First place I checked. There was nothing there
Fortunately their customer services team replied yesterday and set up my online account. Apparently the change of supplier happened today.

You should be OK with So Energy, I used them for quite a while, submitted readings monthly using the iPad app or the web site. Never had any problem with them.

Provide the same readings and date to both suppliers to avoid any problem. Could you reply to So energy mail with the information they requested ?
