How do unfollow a thread on here?

Sorry guys i realise it's not quite house related. I commented on a thread on here earlier this week and now I keep getting email notifications whenever someone else comments!  It's the first time it's happened and it's driving me up the wall.

The thread is not bookmarked and I have no interest in the topic.  Help!!!!

Blimey, I didn't think the new forum even did email notifications...

Is there an "unsubscribe" link on the email?

You and me both - hence my surprise at suddenly having my inbox flooded!

Nope, no unsubscribe button on the emails, nor anywhere on the thread itself.   So frustrating......

Edit your profile and check the 'Notification Preferences'. There are a couple of options that may be triggering it - 'Notify me when people comment on discussions I've participated in.' seems a likely candidate.

Thanks.  I've checked, but both the email and popup notification boxes were unticked so in theory I should not be getting anything.   *sigh*
I've now ticked them and will untick them again shortly to see if that makes any difference.

I think you get notifications if you hit the little tag thing to the right of the title when you open the thread. Looks like an oblong with an inward point along the bottom.

It should be clear. If it's dark, you've turned it on.

Thanks.  Yes that was the first thing I checked in case my fingers had been a bit trigger happy with the keyboard.  However it's clear/turned off.

It's been more than an hour since someone last commented on the thread in question, so I'm hopeful it might now die a nice silent death!

I think you are referring to the 'Bookmark' tag nothing to do with notifications.

That's the thing :) I'm sure when I had that on, I  was getting notifications.

Doesn't sound like it was on anyway so must be something else.
