Email - Spam folder issue.
I use Sky(Yahoo) email. I receive regular emails from my local council but they always appear in my Spam folder rather than my ‘inbox’.
As one would expect, the emails don’t appear to have any dubious/malicious content.
I’ve set-up the Councils email address in my ‘contacts list’ and even replied to the emails directly but nonetheless their emails to me always go directly to my Spam folder.
It’s easy enough to mark the emails as ‘not Spam’ which then moves them to my inbox. However, the Spam folder gives no notification that it contains a new email (or any emails for that matter) and I need to blindly check the Spam folder periodically just in case something important is in there.
Is there anything I can do to ensure the Council emails go directly to my ‘inbox’ ?
As ever, all replies gratefully received.

Thanks very much for that link.

I’ve set-up a new ‘filter’ to say my Council emails should always go to my ‘inbox’, but from the instructions it isn’t clear if that will be enough to circumvent the incoming email ‘spam’ filter; it seems unlikely but I’ll have to wait and see.
