Edge slow to get started

In the last week Edge has become painfully slow to start up on my PC and even when loaded, the favourite menu takes an age to display. It was probably an update that kicked this off but I am not sure, it just started being slow to load and I can't see a way to speed it up.

Is this the case for anyone else or is it just my problem?

No problems here...can you confirm it's the new chromium edge you are using?

I use Edge. How do I tell if it is "the new chromium edge" ?
  • OP, I had a not dissimilar problem a little while ago. It was something?? to do with my Ad Blocker.

I removed my Ad Blocker and re-booted,...all was then well. I then reinstalled the same Ad Blocker fully expecting the problem to re-occur, but no,...my laptop continued to run perfectly. A bit odd, eh.

Just a shot in the dark but it may be worth trying.
