I’m trying to open a document but keep getting the message Internet Explorer restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls.
Even after I click on Allow blocked content nothing happens.
Can anyone help please. Thanks so much.

Why are you opening it in Internet Explorer? What sort of document is it? Word? Excel? PDF? Something else? You'd do better to open the document in the program it was made to be opened in, such as Word/Wordpad or Adobe Reader. What version of Windows are you on? (press the Windows key and the letter R to bring up run, type in "winver" (no quotes) and press Enter.)1

I’m using windows 10.It’s a document on a disc with a CT scan from the hospital with a report. It’s the report I want to print. I can’t find what program it was made in. If I double click on it to open it goes straight to explorer. All the other docs have opened and printed that way but this one won’t.0

I’ve gone through every program it lists when it asks you ‘open with’. I’ve tried them all but none work.

These might be DICOMs.Try opening it in Firefox or Chrome and see if you can load it from there. This might also be of interest:(the two web addresses are out of date, see https://www.postdicom.com/en/blog/top-25-free-dicom-viewers instead)

Thanks so much.No one should be using Internet Explorer for anything. It is out of date, unsupported, and more and more things just won't work with it over time. It was only included in Windows 10 for legacy reasons if you really need it (unlikely unless you have certain business requirements) which is why it is hidden by default.Use current up to date browsers.3
