Payday loan review

Just after some advice if possible, i have received quite a bit of correspondence from one of my creditors, asking for an income declaration form to be filled in, over 10 years and loans i have had previously. I have spoken with stepchange to see if i have legally got to fill this in or if i can ignore, and they said it could affect my DRO. Im concerned as i dont want to affect it in anyway after coming this far. Im not sure what to do but they are being very persistent with it. Do you have any advise please?? X thanks

What is your situation re the DRO, are you in one, or just thinking about it ?You are under no obligation to fill in any form whatsoever, why do they want you to, what reason ?A bit more detail is required to make any sense of the situation.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hiya, sorry yes i am in a DRO, have been since September, i received an email asking for payment, so I replied with my DRO details, then on the back of that i received a reply stating this...
As a responsible lender we continually review the lending we undertake to ensure that our policies and processes have delivered the right outcomes for our customers. Lending practices have evolved over the years, this means that on occasion, a review of previous loans is appropriate to ensure that customers were treated fairly and that we have fulfilled our duty of care as a responsible lender.
We would like you to provide us with information relating to the income that you were receiving as your main salary when the loan/loans were entered into by completing the table below. It is important that you return this information to us as we need this to allow us to conduct a full review of your loan/loans and provide you with an outcome.
Income Declaration Form
Please complete the below table with the information regarding your monthly income, paid by your employer, at the time your loan(s) with? were issued.
This information should be a true and accurate reflection of your situation at the time to ensure a fair outcome is reached on your loan(s).
Please note: We may ask you to provide evidence to confirm the information you provide.
Loan Reference Date Loan Issued Redeclaration of Income 06/12/201 06/04/201 12/07/201 26/02/201 I didnt do anything with it thinking it was just a circular email, but i have had a phone call, a letter through the post and 2 emails chasing for an answer

I sent this to stepchange, which they said if the creditor made any changes in any way it could affect my DRO which i dont want.0

In a DRO you only have dealings with the Official Receiver through their DRO Team.
You must not fill this in.
It's hard to tell whether this is incompetence on their part (most likely) or a deliberate attempt to try to subvert your DRO.
Either way, you must not fill this in.
And you need to find a way to block their phone calls.2 -
Completly agree with FB on this, the lender appears to be trying to work an angle, but to what ends is anyones guess.I`m suprised at the responce from stepchange about this as well.Ignore it completley, have no dealings whatsoever with any of your creditors until the 12 month clock has ticked down to zero.Don`t agree to anything, don`t sign anything, don`t take their calls.I had one very persistant debt collector when I was in my DRO, they were relentless, thankfully I knew how to deal with them, yet they ignored my every letter, it was only after a threat to involve the FOS that common sence kicked in, someone there realised they had no remedy against me, they put it down to a "series of unacceptable errors" for which they paid me £150 !!So I was happy enough with that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hi, I've also had a DRO and I'm also surprised at StepChange's response.
StepChange's website says this : "Your creditors can still contact you to tell you how much you owe, but they can't demand payments from you or start any court action. If they do you should tell them you’re on a DRO. If any of your creditors persistently call or threaten you with further action, you can contact the DRO unit at the Insolvency Service."
So you could always contact the Insolvency Service as above if those creditors won't let this go.
(I think it's online at the moment rather than via phone because of coronavirus)
During my DRO I didn't hear from any creditors. It's the last thing you want or need!
Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Although I do carry out careful research before posting and never intend to mislead or supply out-of-date or incorrect information, please do not rely 100% on what you are reading. Verify everything in order to protect yourself as you are responsible for any action you consequently take.0 -
Could it be that its a letter to see if they treated you fairly/lent to you irresponsibly? Even so you have nothing to gain from them reducing your debt now you are in your DRO so I agree, ignore."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
