Redundancy whilst on a secondment help

Hi all, 

this is a but if a long one but I really need advice. 

I started a 9 month secondment in August. The business I work for brought someone in on a 12 month secondment to cover me. They have now brought in a new role which will sit above me and manage 2 stores which someone has accepted. My question is, can they make me redundant now this new role is in place as technically I would report to someone new when I return, that I currently do. Also, we’re the business aloud to put up a 12 month secondment when I only accepted a 9 month secondment?

The secondment can be terminated at any time and you'll return to your previous role in the organisation.
