Yes; they're fine. They are a decent 'challenger' bank, being built up from a small beginning through acquisitions while owned by a private equity fund, later listed on the stock exchange in 2015 and were in the FTSE 250, but were then bought out by First Rand the South African bank (itself a stock exchange listed business with billions of income, but based overseas).
Back in the day when they were really building up their customer base 5-10 years ago they were frequently topping best-buy tables in trying to make a name for themself, and seem to be doing that less these days but are still generally competitive and better than the 'big 4' banking groups for rates or service.2 -

Just opened my third account with them, as they're topping the interest rates again for certain products.0

Yes, Polly, good service, no problems.1

I opened my first fixed rate ISA with Aldemore in May this year and transferred a cash ISA in from Nationwide.
All went smoothly , although the transfer took a bit longer than normal as it was in the middle of the first lockdown, and I think the delay was on the Nationwide side anyway .
Their product offer/competitiveness can change quite quickly, presumably depending on how much funds they need at any one time.
