Had you exchanged? If not, nothing you can do.2

If you've Exchanged, claim your costs.Do you have a conveyancer? If yes, ask. If no, sounds like you should have.0

Exchange and completion on same day.0

Doesn't really answer the question, but I presume exchange was intended to have been simultaneous with completion, not something which had already happened earlier in the day. If you're not sure what happened or what your rights are, talk to your solicitor.bonkhos said:Exchange and completion on same day.1 -
If you had exchanged already, then you can claim your losses from the party that failed to complete.bonkhos said:We had a completion date agreed but on the day one of the banks delayed paperwork.we had days off work and a hire vehicle payed for, were does that leave us with our losses our wasted time and inconvenience.
If you hadn't exchanged / planned to exchange and complete on the same day, that means precisely that you hadn't 100% agreed to a completion date. If you go and spend money without confirmation then that's the risk you take. If you wanted to be covered, you should have waited until exchange before incurring expenses / days off etc.0
