Caravan parks and covid

I own a caravan at a park in north Northumberland, the site fees are just over £3200 per year. The site was closed all during the first lockdown (14 weeks) since then the site closed for the 2nd lockdown and has been closed since then as we were placed in tier 3. We have been offered 50% off for the initial 14 weeks lockdown but this comes with the following conditions
You must commit to pay next years site fees.
Caravans must have up to date electric and gas test certificates.
Caravan must have a current valid insurance certificate.
There has been no indication whether a further discount will be available.
Is there any way that caravan owners can claim from the government for loss of use?
Is there any form of legal framework that covers this subject?
There must be millions of people in this country in the same situation and the greedy park owners keep claiming the are losing a fortune yet the main source of income is from ground rent/site fees and the park have furloughed the majority of staff and therefore their wages are being paid by government. The expectation would be if a service is not being provided then should it really be paid for?

Nope you are at the mercy of the caravan park owner(s) sadly. I've known some parks to offer an extra year on the licence period of the caravan & some who have offered a reduction or price freeze on next years rates.0

You seriously want the tax payer to pay towards your holiday home?
I appreciate that you are losing out at the moment, but that's between you, the site owner, and the terms and conditions of your contract - the country is going to be picking up the bill for years to come as it is without adding these sorts of extras into the mix.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.6 -
People with holiday homes will still be due to pay council tax etc although they cannot travel to them.0

Perhaps the government could compulsory purchase them and give all the tax payers a holiday??An answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......1

I very much doubt that you are correct in your assumption that there are millions of people who pay site fees at caravan parks. You probably need to drop a couple of zeros off that number.
I'm totally fine with the government providing you with assistance in paying the bills for your holiday accommodation - they could recoup the money going forward by levying an additional tax on those who own static caravans.3 -

You could always vote with your wallet.0 -
Yet another poster who thinks the cost of the pandemic should be borne by anyone but themselves.1
