Persistent Debt - Does account suspension go on to credit file?

I've received an 'Action Notice' from Argos Card regarding my persistent debt on their credit account. I cannot afford to increase my payments and I'm pretty content for them to suspend my account but will this account suspension appear on my credit report? Will my credit score be affected?

Thanks.

  • The account will show as open whether or not the card has a block on it.

Any change in your credit score is immaterial.

The suspension as such is not flagged on your credit report.  Provided you still meet at least the minimum payment each month, there won't be any impact on your credit history.  Your score may well change, but that means diddly-squat - it's missed payments that would damage your credit history, which is what matters.
