Removing ink on a fabric sofa

Hi All,
I have managed to get ink on a brand new fabric sofa :'( .  Can anyone recommend a product they have used personally?  I have seen some tricks with Milk and Hairspray but would rather try a product first and see if that works!

    I have had good results with Dr Beckmanns stain devils for ink.  Mine was felt tip on white cotton and it vanished completely.

    What sort of ink is it? Hairspray is surprisingly effective on biro.

    Neat carpet shampoo.  You will need to test it on some ink applied to a hidden part of the sofa.

    I've used Stain Devils for a lot of things and most worked and really well.
    Theirs is for biro and felt tip so it does depend on the ink before a soloution can be suggested
