Alexa shopping list on iPhone

I use Alexa to build a shopping list. If I realise I’m missing something I’ll just say ‘Alexa add..’
In the Apple shopping event I bought an iPhone XR and while I might say ‘Alexa add butter...’ it will appear on the shopping list on my iPad but it doesn’t appear on the iPhone shopping list
Any ideas?
