HSBC Advance account - £12 M&S dine in voucher

These terms and conditions (the “Offer Terms”) govern our 
‘Purchases Reward’ offer. The offer lasts for the Offer Period 
described in these Offer Terms, and applies only to the HSBC 
Visa debit card identified in the email extending the offer to you 
(the “Eligible Debit Card”). These Offer Terms apply in addition 
to and should be read together our Personal Banking Terms and 
Conditions and Charges. 
The Reward is a £12 Marks and Spencer ‘Dine in for 2’ electronic 
voucher. There are no substitutions for this voucher or cash 
alternative.
In these Offer Terms “we, us or our” means HSBC UK Bank plc.
 
1. Am I eligible?
You are eligible for the ‘Purchases Reward’ offer described in 
these Offer Terms only if:
 a) you have received an email personally addressed to you 
from us extending the offer to you (this offer is not made 
to anyone other than the addressee of this email);
 b) you hold an HSBC UK current account in your sole name 
(i.e. it is not a joint account); 
 c) you are aged 18 years or over;
 d) you are resident in England, Wales, or Scotland. Residents 
of Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and non-
UK addresses are not eligible; and
 e) you are not an employee of the HSBC Group. 
If prior to receiving the Reward you cease to meet any of these 
eligibility criteria you will cease to be eligible for the Reward.
2. What do I need to do to get the Offer Payment?
To receive the Offer Payment you must meet the eligibility criteria 
and you must make a minimum of twelve separate qualifying 
purchases in the UK using your Eligible Debit Card within the 
offer period from [17 December 2020] to [17 January 2021] 
inclusive (the “Offer Period”). 
Each of the twelve qualifying purchases made during the Offer 
Period must be approved at the point of sale and each purchase 
must be debited from your account prior to the end of the Offer 
Period. 
Unless otherwise explained in these Offer Terms, a “qualifying 
purchase” is any debit payment purchase on your Eligible Debit 
Card during the Offer Period excluding the following transaction 
type (which do not count for the purposes of the offer):
 • Gambling transactions (including but not limited to: 
betting, track, casino or lotto/lottery transactions)
We will determine whether any individual transaction falls within 
this excluded category. 
All qualifying purchases must be made on the Eligible Debit Card 
and debited during the Offer Period. If your Visa debit card is 
registered as lost or stolen at any point during the Offer Period, 
some transactions may be voided or cancelled as part of this 
process and if so these will not count as qualifying transactions. 
To receive your reward, you should not change your email 
marketing preferences until after you have received the reward.
3. The Offer Payment
If you are eligible and meet the requirements of these Offer 
Terms (see sections 1 and 2), our partner the Marketing Lounge 
Partnership (MLP) will send you a ‘thank you’ email with 
instructions on how to claim your reward within 14 working days 
of the campaign closing on 17 January 2021. The Redemption 
terms stated below will apply.
4. General terms
This offer is personal to you and is not transferable. Please do 
not forward the email to anyone else as it is not possible to 
transfer the benefit of this offer. 
We reserve the right to withdraw, alter or replace this offer at 
any time. We will give notice on our UK website at www.hsbc.
co.uk/current-accounts/products/ to withdraw, alter or replace 
this offer.

  • Redemption terms:
    1. You have 30 days from the receipt of your ‘thank you’ email 
    to claim your reward. After you have claimed your reward 
    you have a further 24 months to use it.
    2. HSBC reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend this 
    offer where it becomes necessary to do so.
    3. You will receive a £12 M&S eGift card to use on the M&S 
    Dine In deal. You can spend your £12 eGift on any items in-
    store or online. If your chosen items’ combined value is more 
    than £12 you will be required to pay the difference. If your 
    chosen items’ combined value is less than £12 the balance 
    will remain on the eGift card and can be used towards 
    another transaction.
    4. Cannot be exchanged for cash or used to pay for M&S Bank 
    services, products or outstanding card balances, made to 
    measure shirts, personalised cards or M&S energy or to buy 
    another Gift Card or e-Gift Card.
    5. Can be used in all M&S stores in the UK and Channel Islands, 
    including outlet, railway, motorway and airport stores but not 
    in BP Connect stores.
    6. Gift Cards or e-Gift Cards are valid for 24 months from the 
    last transaction (transactions include balance enquiries).
    7. Any remaining balance will be cancelled on expiry of the 
    validity period.
    8. Cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance 
    with your legal rights, for example in the event they are not 
    satisfactory quality.
    9. Should be treated as cash, M&S will not accept liability if 
    lost, stolen or damaged.
    10. The “Promoter” is HSBC UK Bank plc of 1 Centenary Square, 
    Birmingham, B1 1HQ. The “Supplier” is The Marketing 
    Lounge Partnership of The Cow Shed, Walnut Tree Farm, 
    Lower Stretton, Cheshire, WA4 4PG. The “Issuer” is Marks

    11. Neither The Marketing Lounge Partnership nor HSBC UK 
    Bank plc undertake responsibility or liability for any goods

    12. These terms and conditions and any disputes arising from 
    these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of 
    England and Wales and the exclusive jurisdiction of the

    card at the checkout, either on your device or as a print out.

    I wonder how they determined who gets the offer. I had one from them a month or two ago offering me £10 cash if I used my DC 5 times via Apple Pay, but I didn’t get this one.

    I haven't got this one either, not yet anyway.
    I did however get one last month offering £10 if I switched from a physical secure key to a digital one by 20th Dec. I guess they want rid of all the old physical secure keys.

    I can't recall having a debit card.

    When I got the offer I went online to reorder (a lost one) the app suggested there was no lost one to reorder.

    Hence I had go onto chat to order one.

    I haven't had any other offer either.

    I did have the offer and I had not used my debit card.  So checked I knew the PIN just in case and used it to spend £1 in a shop today (contactless).
    Did receive the earlier offer for moving away from using the secure key but didn't take them up on that one.
