    I know, but I was hoping it would prompt the OP to work it out for themselves.

    @KeithP

    Ooh yes, so hubby's work passed on his details & they sent a new ticket for 100 or 60 if paid within certain period. I went on their website and thought I'll just check via the pay link how much it is - it was 16 quid so I just paid that. Double checked same PCN through the pay link & it could not be found as I'd just paid.

    If I remember correctly this was the sequence of events:
    - 2018 got ticket via hubby's company - complete noob, paid some of it
    - No word til company received demand letter from debt collector stating 116.00
    - Just received new ticket after hubby's details were provided & paid the 16.00

    I really was not going to quibble about 16.00 tbh but the cheek of it - to send a completely new PCN amount! If I had not found this forum, I would have probably paid the new one...

    That's odd and sounds like a glitch.  We predict this won't have gone away because £16 was not the amount demanded...KEEP ALL LETTERS.
    PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Yeah I have taken screen shots of the amount shown on the payment link & after payment where it could not be found

    They can still sue for six years and by making part payment I think the 6 years starts from NOW.

  • How can they when I paid the amount as stated on the pay now link? I have just noticed that the same PCN number from 2018 gives a different date on the payment link...

    Guess whoever entered that, missed off a ZERO.  Glitch or not,  not your problem, you paid what they asked for. It is not your responsibility to do their accounting.
    If a retailer advertises a product for £20 when it should be £200, they can claim an error and do not have to honour it, many do however. A parking ticket is NOT a product

    Because the page could no longer be found after payment, that would suggest they have accepted your payment.

    Let's see if you hear from them again

    We agree with you!

    But I wanted you to know to keep everything for six years and tell them if you move house, just in case.
