If you have not settled the balance at the time of the s75 claim, then you wouldn't be entitled to the full cost of the item

Settling the balance is not a factor in a S75 claim.

It would be highly unlikely for a S75 claim to be settled in the time from paying for a purchase & paying the balance.

I think they meant the rest of the money due to the retailer not paying off the credit card
