Paying for a service via bank transfer

Hi.
I have paid £60 for a service that I haven't received (and doesn't look like I will). Have asked the service provider for a refund but no reply - Is there any way I can pursue a refund via the bank?

If you have a physical address for your supplier, you could try action in the small claims court. Sorry but you would have to investigate that yourself as I don’t have experience of the process.

The bank has successfully transferred £60 of your money to the service provider. They are unlikely to help you with a dispute you have with the service provider.

If you provided some more details then you may get some better suggestions from MSE forum users.

you could complain to your bank you are a victim.of fraud - if nothing else it may get the receiving account suspended.

Which will result in the service providers account being locked. Till they provide evidence of why the service has not been supplied and then the risk is that the OP's bank shut their account down for "breech of trust"

    Basically not telling the truth.
Banks do not like people breeching trust. They have to take their customers word as given. If it is proved otherwise. Then it will cause issues.

Bit like someone lying to you, would you trust them again?
