Pilon

I was recently made redundant by a large catering firm as my role was not required anymore. I'd been there 9 years so received 9 weeks pay for statutory redundancy. I also received 9 weeks pay in lieu of notice from them. I applied for and was successful for another position with the same firm but on different terms at a different site. I know I can keep my statutory redundancy but they are saying that they may want some of my pilon back. I still have not started new job as yet. Are they entitled to anything?

Did you apply for the other job as an external applicant or was it internal?
