Good morning all. The sun is shining here and we are planning to go out for a walk in a while. I've stopped doing my 3 miles a day but do like to get out when possible.
Yesterday was filled with ironing, decorating the tree and food shopping. I made Nadiya's Thai peanut chicken for dinner and there's plenty left for today, even though I halved the quantities in the recipe. Tonight I have a Zoom Christmas party so have looked out my festive hat and a few corny cracker jokes.
Best wishes to all those who are unwell and sorry to hear you've been back in hospital Marie.11 -

Morning all. It just rained and rained and rained yesterday. The nicemancameand fetched the cooker and I went through a very big pile of craft magazines that were hanging around.I whittled it down to three magazines and some bits of paper and kept another few bits of paper for a friend in case she wants to decoupage something, she's really good at it and has done lot of different types of furniture for family and to sell. I think we'll be ordering more wood today, we seem tohave got through quite a lot already but then, the fire has been running for the last month more or less solidly.Today, not sure, there are things to do and I should shift myself to the post office and send some cards but that also involvesactually buying proper cards. Our neighbour across the road has gone all bright lights big city Blackpool illumination and has numerous flashing lights all over the house in no sense of pattern whatsoever but luckily, unlike nelski's neighbour, does switch them off when he goes to bed. Thanks for the carol tru, I really look forward to them. And yes, there are always people who are going to try and bend rules, or just plain break them and more disappointing when it's your own family. Marie, hope they find out what's wrong toot sweet....camelot, good that you haven't got something stuck, hope the drops work their magic soon. TA, well, the spaghetti bake is famous now so you'll be cooking it forever
Hester,if I'd been you, I'd have given up by now. It must be so difficult, have hugs, lots of them. Gers, good to hear she's better, and no surprise about do this,no do that from the government really is it...Nelski, crispy duck sounds lovely, and I thought it was a birthday week these days?
Bella, I'm sorry, much hugs and stay safe yourself. Hey all reading along, hope you're doing better than yesterday...Have a tinsel filled Thursday...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10 -
Good morning everyone
Bella, I am so sorry to hear your news of your mum. Hope you manage to spend some time with her and say all you need to say. Sending you the biggest cwtch I can xx
Marie, I am happy to see you posting again but what a worry you must be having. Hope you get a diagnosis quickly and it is not as bad as you fear xx
Nelski, I am sorry I missed your birthday. Have a belated greeting and I am glad you enjoyed your duck and pancakes xx
TA, your menu sounds wonderful, no wonder the grandchildren love coming round
xx
Today the groomer was supposed to come and clip Bobby but she has just rung me as she is ill so will need to reschedule. Luckily he is not to overgrown at the moment so hopefully she will soon feel a lot better. Bobby meanwhile will be happy as it is not his favourite pastime to say the least
.
The nurse is coming today to change my dressings. Yesterday was particularly bad and I ended up with a puddle of fluid on the floor from my leaky leg. It's not so bad today as Steve managed to sort it out. We joke that he needs a puncture repair kit when I spring a leak
. I am staying in bed in the afternoon but I find it very boring so hopefully my new tablet comes today.
I will be making enchiladas for dinner as we have a mini mince mountain in the freezer and this will use up a load of peppers as well. I will do some potato wedges to go with them and maybe a pudding if I find the energy. I have treacle sponge in my head now, thanks TA, but I am not sure if the kids have left me any golden syrup as they love it on their pancakes.
Ok, I am off for now, hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx
