Can I still use a covered extractor fan?

The alternative would be to ditch the fan altogether, but retain the light....but then it becomes more of a job/pain to achieve this...plus I'd be getting rid of something that is occasionally useful!0

Do you have easy access to the outside of the fan?
If so, a quick and easy solution would be to buy something like this: (about £4)
and if you can't screw it into place, simply stick it on to the brickwork with some silicone.
You may have to cut off the part that slots into the hole in the wall but that would be easy enough with a small saw or a good sharp knife.0 -
Sadly no access to outside due to a conservatory...0

The fan should have an isolator switch, turn it off when you have the cover fitted.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0
