Care at home fees - rules difference between joint account / sole account

Hi,
I was wondering if anybody could confirm my suspicion regarding care home fees for my grandfather. Unfortunately from now on he will require care at home for the rest of his life.
We were concerned that an ISA that we believed was in joint names would be raided to contribute towards his care but have since learnt that this ISA is actually solely in my Grandmother's name. I've done some basic research and believe that legally this money wouldn't be touched as my grandfather's name isn't on the account.
Are there any legal grounds that I'm not aware of that would mean that even though the ISA is in my grandmothers name alone that she would have to contribute towards any care fees at all for my grandfather? Something to do with marriage and all assets being viewed as joint for example?
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, thanks very much!

It should only be assets in the name of the person requiring care that are considered (unless there is proof assets have been deliberately moved) even if married.
