Who has my money ?

I placed an order, in Oct 2019, for the hire of 9 suits, for my wedding. 

My order was placed with YOUNGS SUIT HIRE, who, at the time of my order, had a suit hire section, at my local Debenhams Dept.
Sadly, my wedding, which was supposed to take place on 23/52020, had to be postponed, due to  the COVID 19 outbreak.

I spoke with YOUNGS, in April of this year. They assured me that all was safe, in terms of my order, and the money I had paid off the balance. 

To date, I have paid just short of £1,000.00 , leaving a balance of approx £200.00.
I have now secured a new date for our wedding, 28/5/22.
I have contacted YOUNGS, and they’re saying that they don’t have the money that I have already paid. 

They tell me that Debenhams have the funds. 

I visit my local Debenhams, and they tell me that they don’t have my money, and, the store closes down in Jan 2021. 

I’m advised by the Debenhams store manager, to contact “ webteam@ braid group” and they’ll resolve the issue. 

As yet, no reply from Braid Group. I just want to know that my order is safe, I’m not looking for a refund.  

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How did you make the payments, did you get a receipt and if so....what name is on the receipt?

Payment was made with my Visa Debit card. Got receipts, and my name is on the order receipt.
