Didn't receive original parking 'fine' letter - now I can't appeal?

Well, as the title says - I didn't receive the original postal letter (no windscreen ticket), but I think that may be due to the postie as it's happening almost daily here. Instead today I received a 'final notification letter' from Euro Car Parks dated over a month ago, and a Debt Recovery Plus letter (so I reckon a neighbour had them - again). I tried to use their online appeals process, but it rejected my license plate multiple times (it didn't match the notice number apparently) before saying I could no longer appeal and can only talk to the debt recovery company - and their website states appeals can't go through once it reaches them.

I'm really sorry if this has been covered, I've searched all day and not found it. Does anyone know my options now? The invoice is for the ticket I bought not covering the time I was parked, but that's because I entered the car park but didn't park, and instead idled outside of any space before using one (waiting for an appointment) and then buying a ticket. When I returned I left the space but had to wait in the general area of the car park as I set up a map. I still weirdly have the paid for ticket. I also need to question the grace period as is spoken of elsewhere as it's only like 15 minutes over.

If a post of this scenario exists elsewhere I'll happily delete this if asked/allowed!

Easy. Ignore anything further from DRP.  Come back on this thread if you receive a Letter of Claim from any solicitors representing ECP, or a formal court claim from the Northampton CCBC - both highly unlikely, but no absolute guarantees as ECP have 6 years to issue court proceedings.

Have you contacted the retailer(s) attached to the car park and asked them to intervene on your behalf - works more often than you might guess, don't forget, they need customers desperately because of Covid losses - use your bargaining power.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Welcome!  You don't appear to have read the NEWBIES thread because you haven't mentioned doing the obvious - PLAN A (I'm not elaborating, because we need all newbies not to spend hours looking for stuff but simply to read the NEWBIES thread).

As well as trying PLAN A, if you read the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread, you will learn what to do with laughable DRP letters!
