  • Cool, Yeah numbering is all over the place isn't it. It was late last night I pieced it all together into one document, will correct that along with Exhibit numbers. Glad advice is all cosmetic hoping that means the actual content and points I'm trying to fight are good enough. Thanks.

It is important to get the numbering correct, not just for cosmetic reasons - imagine trying to explain to the judge at the hearing that you refer to the second paragraph #6 not the first one!
  • Update - Just to complete this thread now I lost the case. Although I was able to get the costs reduced thanks to the point about the double recovery, so that is important to remember to include for anyone reading this in future! Thanks for everyones help, its a confusing process and I wouldn't have been able to do this without this forums help.

Sorry that you lost the case against WW PPL !!  Shame

What points did they win on ? How much was awarded in total of their inflated claim ?

We need detailed feedback in order to help other victims
  • Basically they won becuase they had a sign placed within view, even though it was their generic small print board and I couldn't convince them that I was parked outside the juristiction of that sign, and that everything else around that was contradicting that sign since it only covered a small area of a larger parking area, just seemed to ignore those points, was like judge just wanted to rush through the case. But at least got some costs reduced, still included their court fee £25 and legal costs of £50. But removed the additional £60 and interest they claimed on top of the original parking fine. Maybe on another day I would have had more luck.

So the judgment is for the original charge plus the allowed legal and court fees , typically £175 or thereabouts
