Good morning and thank you for starting the thread nmlc,  also thank you tru for the carol.
Bellabella sorry to see that your mum has the virus, on top of everything else. What a worrying time for you all. 
Yesterday was sunny and not cold so I did some stuff in the garden. Today is windy and pounding rain so I'm staying in other than restocking the bird table. I have plenty to get on with, I'm really losing my motivation at present which is the reason I have a lot to do, it having got on with it before. 
One thing I must do is try to remember the safe place I put the Christmas cards in, then write them.

Plans for today are a big fat zero housework wise. It may involve carrot cake and baileys  Food wise I have a duck that I plan to transform to an aromatic crispy duck later. If I could have a choice of meal out for today it would be a Chinese so this is the next best thing. Need to chop some cucumber and spring onions for the pancakes and that will be the sum total of effort today

Thanks for starting nmlc, sorry work is still unsettled. Hmm lasagna- I think there's one I made in the freezer,I could get that out for us tonight!

Bella, poor Mum - hope the infection gets booted out quick.

Tru thanks for the carol. Ly1a hates the rain, & dark so it's a slow plod on mornings like these

Got a few jobs to do today, and wrapping.Delivered the neighbours cards earlier and we got rid of a lot of cardboard and packing from the basement to put into the skip on DHs job, they won't mind as there's quite a bit of space and the job is nearly done. It's looking much better down there now. I'm going to move my sewing machine down- I bought a top in Debs , greatly reduced- I knew it was too big but liked it so need to alter it

Afternoon all. It's not a nice day weather wise as it's dark and raining.

We had heavy rain when we went to the surgery for Mr Fix It's injection but we didn't get into the cemetery because there was a funeral cortege blocking up the gate and drive and we didn't want to disturb them. We'll do that another day now.

I've just had some lunch and listened to the WAG coronavirus update, apparently they've now realised that cases are rising, I could have told them that weeks ago. There have also been cases in the vaccine centre in Cardiff I believe, so that's also had to be paused. We are now at death con alert level 4, but it doesn't start till xmas eve/day and then we'll be in lockdown by another name, only essential shops to open. I'll have to get the lockdown bench dusted and my cushion plumped up now !
