Final Bill after switching
On 10th March, I switched my energy supplier from EDF Energy to British Gas using the cheap energy club.
On 10th December I received an email from EDF saying that my final bill was ready and that I could view it online. When I tried to do that, the EDF website said that I do not have an account with them. The online access is shutdown after 180 days. On 14th December, I received a paper copy of the bill stating it covered the period 5th Feb to 10th March. I have no means of checking the information.
Can it be right to receive a bill 9 months after I switched? Do I need to pay it?

Yes you do need to pay it - you used the energy.
TBH it was up to you to try chasing a bit harder rather than hoping you could get away with it - after all you could have checked your online account for up to 180 days
Unfortunately they cant be compelled to pay you the £30 compensation because your switch happened after May this year but I'm afraid the bill is down to you.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
