Guaranteed Christmas delivery now delayed

I ordered a settee and chair early October with 'guaranteed Christmas delivery'. The T&C stated that the material had to be in stock and this was confirmed. Now I am informed that there is a delay due to foam shortages and the furniture will arrive until mid January.
As a goodwill gesture they have said they will not charge the £60 delivery. Do I have any rights of compensation etc? I do not have an old one to sit on as we moved and decided to buy new. Thanks

You've had your compensation, they have waived the £60 delivery fee.
There are worldwide disruptions to supply chains at the moment , just the way it is in afraid.

There are no "rights" of compensation. You try and negotiate the best deal you can with the supplier.
You must be sitting on something, if not look around on Gumtree, Facebook, Freegle or Nextdoor for something cheap or free.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1 -
Disappointed with the lack of "Where do I stand?" in this post, it would be most apt.2

What does your contract say about the guarantee?0

I expect your remedy (if you don't like what they've offered you) would be to cancel and get your money back.

Use the £60 saved to buy a cheap patio set out if season. Not only will you get some chairs but also a table to eat your dinner at. When the sofa arrives you will have a place to sit and eat in the garden when summer comes.

Grab a £50 bargain sofa from a local for-sale group, and push them for a little more if you feel it's due.Unfortunately the side effect of a pandemic is the normal supply chains get interrupted.0
