State pension top up years

Thanks, I had always thought that topping-up pre 2016 years would have no effect on her SP, but we'll maybe have to look into that further.
See link above for 2016/17 - at this point she would have had only 28 pre 2016 years.

No, like I said to make up £30/week you need 6 years NI. 35 years for a full pension only applies to people who spend their entire working life under the post April 2016 and there wont be any of those for another 50 years or so. For those who paid NI under both schemes exactly how many years you need depends on circumstances.VXman said:
I currently have 36 full up to 2018 but it says I need to contribute more to get the full state pension.molerat said:A very simple rule of thumb is :If you currently have 35 or more pre 2016 years then buying more definitely will not benefit you- 9 years to contribute before 5 April 2029
- 6 years when you did not contribute enough

If I purchased 2016-17 that would make 35 pre 2016. Would that take me from £145 per week to £175 Per week
No - see Guide referenced in my previous.
What is the COPE shown on your forecast?

It means you should have a company pension (possibly more than one).
The value of the company pension(s) is almost certainly not £76.11, they tend to be more than the COPE amount but you would need to check your company pension details to see the real value.0 -
Your COPE estimate is £76.11 a week. What does that mean?
It was used once only in calculating your "starting amount" for New State Pension - see my previous and read Guide.

OP states
I'm now retired on my teachers pension. As far as I can see he needs to pay 16/17 through 21/22 to achieve a full NSP but he can check with the Future Pensions Centre.
