Put yesterday's date? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Its a foot race
Filing it late only matters IF the claimant has already requested judgement.2 -
No they won't care about it being late , they will log it as filed unless the claimant has asked for judgment , so it's important to get it in first
Your emails have metadata in the header so don't falsify any dates , hopefully they will log it tomorrow , so check mcol every day2 -
At no point do you ever tell anything but truth
You do not need to tell the total story, but what you do tell must be true2 -
Defence emailed, kept it as today's date. Will keep checking MCOL, hopefully Britannia/BW haven't filed for judgment yet.2

Thank you all, you have no idea how much stress this was causing me. Even if a day late, hopefully it's in time, huge relief. Now the hard work begins I guess!0

No need to guess - newbies thread has the complete process for you.All of it. All questions you have - go there
You MUST keep on top of this; you need to know what to expect and roughly when. If something doesn't turn up and you don't realise - you lose. Simple as.2 -

Defence receipt acknowledged and no mention of judgment so I think I got in, in the nick of time, phew!2 -
N180 form received by court and filled in and has to be returned to court and also to claimant. Anyone know if this can be emailed or does it have to be posted?0
-
Either , but ideally emailed , especially emailed to the ccbcaq email address in Northampton , instead of posting it
Email to the claimant if possible , or post with a free certificate of posting from the post office counter as proof of posting0
