Xmas presents for 6 years old

Hello. My son wrote a letter to Santa, and I am confused a little. It's hard enough because my son changes his wishes every day. He has already ordered a game console, 3D pen, tablet, laptop, and lego. I'm thinking of settling on a game console and buying a board game for the whole family. I don't want to but all the things, I think it's too much.

At the end of the day, you are the parent and you decide what you want to buy for him. There's no need to get everything and if anything it will teach him he can't always get what he wants.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

Stop at the Lego, he's 6 not 16. Tech can wait.3

You might want to change his approach. He shouldn't be ordering anything. He should be politely requesting and hoping that he gets one of the items he'd like!

It's your choice what you decide to get for him. Whatever you do, someone will come along to tell you you're wrong so just go with what you can comfortably afford that's on his list.
My 8 year old usually lists one 'big' present and then a few smaller bits. He knows that Santa and the elves don't have enough time and equipment to make lots of big presents for everyone and it would be greedy to ask for more than one big present.
He usually gets most of what's on his list as he doesn't ask for too much. As for the comments about not getting them tech gifts - the world is tech driven now. My 8 year old has known how to use a laptop for years and now has to do his homework online. Teaching them about tech at a young age is no bad thing.
As an 8 year old, I was desperate for an Atari or ZX spectrum so not much changes really.1 -
I'm afraid Santa was an early victim of the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to his age and weight issues, he had been identified as being vulnerable and told to self isolate along with the rest of his household. Unfortunately, Rudolf chose to ignore the advice & rules and went out chasing after some foxy little floosie. Engaging in unsafe acts, the silly deer returned and infected the rest of the household, with Santa paying the ultimate price.Mrs Claus has had to take over the business, and after looking at the books, has come to the conclusion that it is not a sustainable proposition in its current form. Handing out free presents on one day a year without any visible income streams through out the year is simply not viable. As a consequence, all the elves, reindeer, and other staff are being made redundant and all remaining assets are being sold in an attempt to cover substantial debts. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.5 -
^ I've got covid lined up as an excuse for my poor present buying.0
