Refund to closed credit card

I’ve been refunded for a concert that’s been cancelled onto a barclaycard I closed over a year ago. They’ve said that the refund will bounce straight back to ticketmaster but ticketmaster are saying that barclaycard will be holding the funds and that they cannot claim the refund back or refund me on a different card. Has anyone had a similar experience? I don’t know what to do.

Contact Barclaycard and ask them to send the refund to your bank account.

Similar happened to me with whoever 'owned' the ASDA credit card, was it Creation?

I phoned them and they returned it to the bank account that the DD was originally linked to.

I’ve had issues like this on a few occasions (fraud, I think they all were) with a CC and that card number was stopped / closed and a new card and 16 digit number was issued. I then had to return something and was obviously unable to produce the original paid with card, but on one occasion had both statements to show and refund processed, and the other just refunded to old CC number with was automatically credited to the new account!
