Parking ticket (now with debt collection?

I received a parking ticket from the petrol garage close to my work (Euro car parks Ltd) for exceeding my permitted stay. I didn't see the signs advising maximum stay time although they are there. I advised the man in the garage I was in there most days spending money and he told me to take the ticket in on the following Monday and the manager would have it cancelled. I took it in Monday and the manager refused to cancel the ticket. Immediately sent an appeal and payment of £20 to private parking appeals.co.uk and received a response allocating a case representative. I heard nothing further from either Euro car parks or the appeals company and assumed the matter in hand and resolved. A few days ago I received a letter from debt recovery plus representing ECP instructing payment of £160 immediately to avoid further action. I emailed private parking appeals and my email bounced back as a bad address. Domain not found and there advertised website has disappeared. Would anyone know if this fine is enforceable through courts and if it should be paid or not. Cheers

Yep, someone else has posted today that the site appears to be down.  You are on your own then (well you now have the - free - support of this forum) and it is time to read the NEWBIE sticky for all the advice you will need.  You pay it IF and when a judge tells you to if you want to take it to a hearing if you think you have a solid enough defence.

    ''Case representative'' LOL.

Was your Google broken so that you forgot to look them up on Trustpilot?  You were always 'on your own'...

You do know not to add insult to injury and actually PAY the parking charge?  Jeez, get wise to scams.

ECP can certainly issue a court claim pack from the CCBC in Northampton within 6 years , if they win in Court it is enforceable by the warrant of control methods

Ignore drpl , or any debt collectors

You should have come here for free advice at the time , too late for any appeals now

Your ideal solution was a complaint and cancellation by the landowner , it still is and always will be

Why, why why would ANYONE have paid money to a firm with those Trutpilot reviews and actually think they have a 'case worker'?

Have to say, thank God they've gone and I hope it is permanent.
