Neighbour planning breach

Prior to moving and leaving my grotty ex neighbours with even grottier new ones, I installed reflective film to the exposed windows. Worked a treat; kept prying eyes and the Summer heat out. You do have to be mindful that when it's dark outside, you need to close blinds/curtains otherwise you can see straight in! Bought the film on the internet. Reasonably cheap and not too difficult to apply.0

I’ve got my privacy film on, just went for a frosted one so no need to worry about on a night. Slightly difficult to apply with one pair of hands given the size of my window but I got there in the end! Can barely see anything through it so at least I’ve got my privacy back. I just hope it doesn’t impact me in the future if I sell.Neighbour on the other hand has seen me twice in the last couple of weeks and hasn’t even said hello, just disappears quite sheepishly.1

What do you reckon potential buyers will be thinking as they look around your kitchen and discover they can't see outside?I just don't get your 'solution' at all. At least one-way film would allow you to see outside during the day, and then you drop a blind in the eves. But to obscure a window in your kitchen?!If that is what you want.

Personally I'd have gone down the floral / plant route rather than obscuring my view. If you don't want to lose space with a planter, could you get some of that fake hedge stuff that people put on gates and fences to create more privacy?
