Hi,
I was meant to recieve 2 parcels from 2 different retailers, at the same time, being delieverd by Yodel, which did not arrive. I have contacted Yodel twice the via the chat bot. Yodel have said that they have been delivered and were posted through my letterbox, the driver's GPS said it was at my location. My letterbox is too small for both items to have fitted in and I did not leave a safe / alternative place to post, as there is not one and no one was in, Yodel do not have proof that it was posted in my letterbox, as they do not take photographs, I also don't have Ring. I am not accusing the driver of theft or lying, as that is not fair but I don't have my parcels, which is also not fair. Yodel have advised that I now need to contact the retailers which I am in the process of doing but I am pretty sure they will say that they handed off to Yodel and it is for them to deal with. Has anyone else experienced this, please? Any advice, would be appreciated.
Thanks

Your contract is with the seller. Their contract is with Yodel. Contact seller is correct. If sellers argue remind them your contract is not with YodelI am not a cat (But my friend is)0

If you have any issues with the retailer (assuming they're in the UK) then remind them that goods remain at the retailer's risk until they enter the physical possession of the consumer, or someone identified by the consumer as authorised to receive them.
If the driver gps shows them at your address then it sounds like they may have posted them through the wrong door! You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Or just "liberated" them, which seems to have become a huge issue recently, with Amazon having thousands of PlayStation 5 consoles stolen by drivers being the biggest example. There are even cases of drivers taking the picture of the package in front of someone's door, then taking it back to the van and driving off with it afterwards.unholyangel said:If the driver gps shows them at your address then it sounds like they may have posted them through the wrong door!
Apart from Amazon, who I have always found excellent in the case of non-delivery, I am generally opting for click and collect at the moment as there seems to be too many issues with couriers at the moment, for work I have consignments out with Royal Mail and UPS and virtually nothing for the last three weeks has been delivered on time.0 -
A friend posted cctv of a Hermes delivery being put ion doorstep, photographed , lifted back up , put back in van and the driver driving off.1

There have also been suggestions that when a parcel has been left on a doorstep by the delivery company, it is stolen by somebody in a following vehicle.1

Someone has recently spoken out about that (a Hermes driver) -- being followed, threatened, boxed in by other vehicles etc. and not getting appropriate support from the company.
Quite rightly, Hermes did the right thing and sacked him for daring to rock the boat.
