My washing machine programs are faulty... it’s showing 2 mins for a program that is usually 55 mins. It’s the same for all the programs and also the machine keeps tripping the electricity. Is it worth repairing?

You'll only know that until you find out what's wrong with it and how much the replacement parts are. If it's currently tripping the electrics then you should stop using it.Chiyam28 said:My washing machine programs are faulty... it’s showing 2 mins for a program that is usually 55 mins. Does the m/c trip the electric as soon as it’s switched on?, or does it fill first with some water then trip? If it’s the latter, then it points to a heating element, if the former then it could be anything, door lock or some other component1

Motor brushes are another common cause of tripping, assuming it has brushes.Alanp said:Does the m/c trip the electric as soon as it’s switched on?, or does it fill first with some water then trip? I just done another load as it seems like that the programs came back to the original timing.... however now it stops at the time the machine needs spinning and the timer goes messing up again. Now I can’t open my machine and my cloth is stuck inside. 😕.... this time however it didn’t trip. 🧐0

Failing to complete the spin function is usually a good sign that the motor brushes are shot, which would be relatively simple to fix, if you can easily get access to the motor. If you want to empty the machine, stick on drain then you'll be able to open the door once it's done.Chiyam28 said:I just done another load as it seems like that the programs came back to the original timing.... however now it stops at the time the machine needs spinning and the timer goes messing up again. BTW, I can't find anything with that model no. you posted, are you sure it's not W4380X1GB/01 or similar?0
