Credit Limit - Affect Credit Rating?

Hi There
I was just wondering whether requesting a new credit limit affects your overall credit rating? For example, I recently went online to my Egg banking and upped the limit on my Egg card (using the maintenance section), but I wanted to know whether requesting new limits online in this way will affect my credit rating
Thanks in advance...

Not sure but don't think it affects it, only the debt and number of cards you have shows, not the actual limit.2p off is still 2p off!0

As far as I know if the total credit available is very high as compared to your income this does affect your chances to get a new credit.0

Your credit limit does show on your credit file. It shouldn't count against you unless creditors think you're assuming too much unsecured credit.0
