It will depend on whether you can get a good quality P5 chipboard. If you can't, the Caberfloor will be worth paying extra for. Branded product will generally warranties that are worth something. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1

How cheap can you find unbranded p5 chipboard? Travis Perkins and Jewson both sell Caberfloor under £10 a sheet trade prices. Or if you don't want to open an account, whenever I've bought Wickes branded (e.g. https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-P5-T+G-Chipboard-Flooring---18mm-x-600mm-x-2400mm/p/164516 ) they've provided Caberfloor. They also seem to sell it at 10% off quite frequently, so if you can wait might get it for £9 a sheet for the 18 mm.

Thanks for replies. We don't have trade accounts and price difference is quite a consideration when doing the whole house.
Good info on the Wickes version tho, thanks.0
